To Karate Academy Parents and Students,
Is that the end? Of course not. Summer is still here and Karate Academy wants to finish with a bang. Last month, Karate Academy had the anticipation of Justin’s Black Belt Review Board and the Summer Camp that there was so much excitement in one month that Karate Academy had to take a summer break at the end of the month. Can August 2008 top that? A definite “YES”.
ICE CREAM BUDDY DAY
Aug 21st will host our Ice Cream Buddy Day. Once a year, Karate Academy wants to give a special treat to all the students who have trained during the hot summer. Karate Academy has a fun-filled class for students and their friends (must be signed by adult) followed by a chance for them to make their favorite Ice Cream Sundaes with Whipped Cream and Toppings. The events will start during classes. All students are asked to bring a buddy to enjoy the day of festivities.
BEGINNER’SSUMMER REVIEW BOARD
At the start of the summer, Karate Academy kicked off with the Summer Review Board. Due to the enrollment in the Spring, some students were not ready last May for their belt testing. So, on August 7th at 5:30pm, Karate Academy will hold a special Review Board for our Beginners (White & Yellow Belts) Those who have worked hard and dedicated their time to work hard throughout the summer will make their attempt at the their next rank. All regular classes will be held on the Main Floor. Upstairs’ doors will be locked at 5:30pm, please be punctual. All outstanding bills and Review Board Fees must be paid before testing.
KARATE ACADEMY PARENT’S OPEN HOUSE
In order for Karate Academy to better educate our students and find their way to their next rank, Karate Academy will have an Open House Week on Tuesday, August 19th thru Saturday, August 23rd. During this time, Sensei Brian will sit down with parents and students to discuss goals and progress on a one-on-one basis. Appointments will be set for 20 minute intervals for these days. ALL white belts and yellow belts must have their parents attend this open house. Please reschedule with Ms. Dawn if appointment time is inconvenient.
NINJA NITE SLEEPOVER
Sensei Shelley, Sensei Alex, Sensei Brian & Ms. Dawn are inviting students to close off the summer with a Ninja Nite Sleepover. This event will consist of movies, games, food and prizes. As well as the kids will grow close to their fellow Karate friends, of course with the close supervision of their Karate Instructors. Parents, use this event as an award to your children who have helped around the house, received good grades in school or just a night of peace and quiet. This event is on August 16th with a drop off at 8pm and pick up at 9am. The cost for this fun filled night is $25. Parents, please sign up early.
